Zvi Raphaeli, painter and rabbi, was born in Egypt in 1924, and died in 2005.  He was educated in Paris from age 3.  He studied at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. He was a member of the French resistance during WW II.  He lived in Israel and the USA.
