William E Skilling

William E. Skilling (1862 - 1964) was active/lived in California.  William Skilling is known for Although a portrait and landscape painter, Skilling is best known for his large canvases of exotic animals. He also created copies of work by artists including Edward Hicks, Parson Fisher and Giuseppe Archimboldo.

A California artist known for portrait and landscape painting, he served in World War I and then settled in San Francisco where he died on April 8, 1964. He also did copies of work by artists including Edward Hicks, Parson Fisher and Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

Exhibition venues included the Oakland Art League, 1928.
