Remo Brindisi

Remo Brindisi (1918 - 1996) was active/lived in Italy.  Remo Brindisi is known for Painting and sculpture.

Remo Brindisi (Rome 1918 - Lido di Spina 1996).

In 1935 he attended courses in Rome's Centro Sperimentale di Scenografia and nude painting classes at the Academy of Ripetta.  That same year he obtained a scholarship that allowed him to settle in Urbino and to attend the Art Institute for over five years.  When his studies were concluded, he moved to Florence where he opened his first studio in 1940 and had his first exhibition.

After the war, during which he served in the military in various cities and operational fronts, he relocated to Venice where he met the art dealer Carlo Cardazzo, who suggested an exclusive contract for five years, after an exhibition in his gallery Venetian Il Cavallino.  During this Venetian period Brindisi lived with Marcello Mastroianni and became friends with Virgilio Guidi, Milena Milani, Diego Valeri, Marcello Mattes, Filippo De Pisis and others.
