Pat McGuire

Pat McGuire (Born 1953) is active/lives in Alaska.  Pat McGuire is known for Printmaking, collage.

A resident of Cordova, Alaska, Pat McGuire is known for her gyotaku fish printing and collage techniques, which she studied in Japan, along with papermaking. An example of such work is 'Rock Bottom' (gyotaku/collage fishprint).

The recipient of numerous grants and awards, McGuire teaches printmaking in Alaska, and has successfully exhibited her work in group, solo, and juried shows. Most of her work she creates in her studio during the winter, and spends her summers fishing commercially.

Examples of her work are included in the book 'Alaska's Copper River', by Riki Ott (1998).
