Milton H Lowell

Milton H. Lowell (1848 - 1927) was active/lived in New York.  Milton Lowell is known for Landscape and figure painting, calendar art.

Milton H. Lowell was a painter of pastoral New England landscapes and Adirondack Mountain scenes, painting in the same areas as 19th century artists Samuel Coleman, William Hart and George Smillie. While he studied in Boston with Yardley, he was largely self-taught. Lowell also painted works for art calendars. His son, Orson, would be a well-known painter and illustrator for magazines, books and calendars.

Milton Lowell was born in 1848, in Lamberton, New York. He was a member of the New Rochelle Art Association, in New York. He died in 1927.
