Dietrichson was a pioneer generation of female artists and is best known for her genre paintings, which often depicted everyday life. She regularly exhibited her work in Norway, Sweden, and at World Exhibitions in Vienna and Paris. Her first and only solo exhibition was held posthumously in 1922 at Blomqvist
