Mary Elizabeth King

Mary Elizabeth King (1899 - 1991) was active/lived in California, District Of Columbia, Missouri.  Mary King is known for Landscape painting.

Born in Springfield, Missiouri on January 19, 1899, Mary King studied at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, Academie Julian in Paris, Chelsea Art School in London, and with Savini in Florence. 

By the late 1930s she was a resident of San Francisco. In 1947 she married James J. Loftus. She died in Washington, DC on January 15, 1991. 

Primarily a miniature painter, she also was a competent landscape painter. 

Exhibited: 
California Society of Miniature Painters, 1938; Society of Washington Artists.
