Mark Rode

Mark Rode (Born 1965) is active/lives in Australia, Ireland.  Mark Rode is known for Sculptures.

Australian born Mark Rode studied at the Queensland College of Art, before moving to the UK where he worked with the Henry Moore Institute.

Later Rode traveled to Ireland and set up his studio base in County Mayo. He has exhibited widely, showing work with the Solomon Gallery, Jorgensen Fine Art, Castle Upton Gallery in Co. Antrim, Kenny's in Galway, and the Eakin Gallery in Belfast.

He has also exhibited at the annual RHA exhibitions and the Boyle Arts Festival. Public commissions include Tour de France Memorial, Enniscorthy (2008), Strength of a Woman (Mother and Child), Swinford, Mayo (2007) and a monument to Kerry GAA Football, Tralee (2007). The latter is the largest contemporary figurative sculpture in Ireland.
