Marian Bogus

Marian Bogus (1920 - 1980) was active/lived in Poland.  Marian Bogus is known for Abstract sculptural and spatial compositions, painting, sculpture, scenery, and graphics.

Marian Bogusza was a Polish artist who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with Jan Cybis. He was the founder of the Warsaw "Grupa 55" and the co-founder and manager of the "Krzywe Kolo Gallery".

Bogus was one of the most outstanding animators of cultural life in the Polish avant-garde movement. He created abstract sculptural and spatial compositions and was involved in painting, sculpture, scenery, and graphics.

In his works, color has a symbolic meaning, and some of his paintings were inspired by musical works.
