Manuel Ricart Serra

Manuel Ricart Serra (1913 - 2014) was active/lived in Spain.  Manuel Serra is known for Painting.

Ricart Serra began his training with his father, the painter Manuel Ricart Hostench, and then went on to study at the La Lonja School in Barcelona, where his main teachers were Clavé and Mallol Suazo. He took part in various activities of the Círculo Artístico and the Círculo de Sant Lluc, and produced numerous advertising works, as well as posters and illustrations, collaborating with magazines such as "L'Esquel-la de la Torratxa" and "L'Humanitat". In 1933 he was awarded the silver medal in the Josep Masriera competition of the Sant Jordi Academy of Fine Arts. In 1932 he took part in the Salon des Evolutionistes. In 1936 he completed his studies and took part in the Spring Exhibition in Barcelona, and after the war he made his individual debut in the Syra Galleries in the same city (1941).
