Kathe Munzer-Neumann

Kathe Munzer-Neumann (Born 1877) was active/lived in Germany.  Kathe Munzer Neumann is known for Cartoons, portrait, landscape, still life, genre painting.

Käthe Münzer-Neumann was a German painter born in 1877. She studied at the School of Drawing and Painting of the Association of Berlin Artists (VdBK) in 1900. She completed her artistic education in 1909 at the Académie Julian in Paris with Ernest Joseph Laurent and Edmond François Aman-Jean. Munzer-Neumann traveled and worked in Warsaw, St. Petersburg, Copenhagen and the Netherlands until 1929 when she moved back to Berlin. She created cartoons for art magazines and painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes and genre scenes in the style of New Objectivity. In 1933 she moved to Paris and exhibited regularly in Parisian salons. Her works are in the following museums and collections: The Märkisches Museum in Berlin, the Center Pompidou and the Jeu de Paume in Paris.
