Karl Hubschmann was born in 1878 in Erfurt, Germany. Karl was a landscape and portrait painter, and a student at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. Hubschmann studied at the Academy in Berlin with Anton von Werner and Julius Ehrentraut, later studying at the Academy Weimar with Max Thedy and Aristide. He studied applied arts in Dresden by Richard Guhr and Charles large, and was a member of the National Association of visual Artists of Germany, active in Dresden. Karl Hubschmann passed away in 1955.
