Julia Ann Selden Spencer

Julia Ann Selden Spencer (1852 - 1932) was active/lived in Connecticut, New York.  Julia Spencer is known for Painting.

Married to Richard Pratt Spencer, she was a painter active in New York and her native Connecticut where she lived in Deep River until moving to Miami, Florida the last seven years of her life.

Spencer was a student at the Art Students League* and the New York School of Fine and Applied Art*, where she studied with Rae Sloan Bredin. In East Gloucester, she was a student of Hugh Breckenridge.

Memberships included the North Shore Artists Association*, and she exhibited paintings with the Society of Independent Artists*.
