Janet Monafo

Janet Monafo (Born 1940) is active/lives in Massachusetts.  Janet Monafo is known for Still life-eggs, self-portrait.

A teacher in the continuing education department of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, Janet Monafo is known for her still life pastel painting and is a member of the Pastel Society's Hall of Fame since 2002.  She has also had grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New England Foundation for the Arts.  Exhibition venues include the National Academy of Design and the Institute of Arts and Letters in New York City and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC.

In her pastel painting she focuses on relationships of colors and shapes in her still life arrangements and does full-scale drawings before beginning the final work.
