James Lillie Graham (1875 - 1965/68/71/75) was active/lived in Ontario, Quebec / Canada, England.  James Graham is known for Impressionist street scenes, bucolic landscape, trees, farm animals and genre painting.

A prominent late 19th and early 20th century Canadian painter with several works in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Canada, James Lillie Graham was born in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. He lived in Toronto (Ontario), London (England), Paris (France) and Ottawa (Ontario) before settling in Montreal (Quebec) in about 1922, where he appears to have lived for the rest of his life. On August 25, 1965 he disappeared without a trace while visiting the Gatineau Hills, Quebec. (1)

His mediums included oil paint, watercolors and pastels. His primary subjects were city street scenes, rural landscapes, farm animals (especially cattle) and genre*. The locations were mostly in Ontario and Quebec. He also did a large body of work depicting scenes in Epping Forest, London, England; where for a period of 7 years (1896 – 1903) he created images for use by London lithographers.
