Hugo Philip Maas

Hugo Philip Maas (1885 - 1948) was active/lived in California.  

Hugo Philip Maas was born in San Francisco, CA on Dec. 11, 1885.  Maas studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute during 1899-1902, but did not follow an art career due to the earthquake in 1906. 

He began as a carpenter and later owned a construction firm that built houses in the City. 

A lifelong resident of San Francisco, he died on September 9, 1948.
