Henryk Musialowicz

Henryk Musialowicz (1914 - 2015) was active/lived in Poland.  Henryk Musialowicz is known for Painting.

In 1939, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he studied under Feliks Szczesny Kowarski and Leonard Pekalski. He belonged to the "Warszawa" group. Painter, graphic artist and illustrator not associated with any group or artistic orientation. The artist's first works were devoted to war experiences and the destroyed Warsaw. A change in his painting took place after Musialowicz's trip to the Netherlands in 1956/1957. Under the influence of the late works of Rembrandt and van Gogh, he returned to drawing because, as the author emphasized, it allowed him to directly record reality. White and black also began to dominate his work. The artist made another important trip, this time to France, in 1957. In the 1940s and 1950s, abstract, monochromatic and expressive compositions were created, often reminiscent of the atmosphere of war and occupation.
