Gustav Marx

Gustav Adam Christian Marx (1855 - 1928/29) was active/lived in Germany.  Gustav Marx is known for Landscape, genre and horse painter, illustrator, lithographer.

Gustav Adam Christian Marx was born in 1855 in Hamburg. He became a German landscape, genre and horse painter, illustrator and lithographer. From 1870, Marx initially took an apprenticeship and was active as a lithographer, and then took parallel evening studies at the Hamburg School of Applied Arts. From 1875-79 Marx was a private pupil of Christian Kröner in Düsseldorf and trained with Wilhelm Camphausen. Gustav Marx participated in the Berlin art exhibitions and the Glass Palace in Munich.
