The Austrian painter Franz Wlcek mainly painted floral still lifes, cityscapes and landscapes in an expressive manner.  From 1959, he was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus and participated there in the spring exhibitions of 1958, 1960 and 1964. In 1960, he received the Honorary Award of the City of Vienna.
