Edward Rice

Edward Rice (Born 1953) is active/lives in Georgia.  Edward Rice is known for Architectural, realist southern landscape painting, buildings.

Edward Rice was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1953, and was raised across the Savannah River in North Augusta, South Carolina, where he maintains his studio to this day. Rice studied with Freeman Schoolcraft (Who's Who on American Art 1962) at Augusta State University for two years before becoming his protege an additional four years.

Noted for his carefully calculated architectural paintings, Rice also produces landscape and figure paintings. Awards include a South Carolina Arts Commission Fellowship and a Southern Arts Federation National Endowment for the Arts Regional Fellowship.
