Edouardo Pisano

Edouardo Pisano (1912 - 1986) was active/lived in Spain, France.  Edouardo Pisano is known for Colorful paintings with black outlines, landscapes, rural life scenes, flamenco dancers, torreros, nudes, and portraits of women. Worked in painting, drawing, and monotypes..

Eduardo Pisano was an artist of Spanish origin who arrived in France in 1939 and settled in the Montparnasse district of Paris. He joined a community of Spanish artists already in Paris and met Oscar Dominguez, a surrealist artist. Pisano's work is characterized by the predominance of color surrounded by black, and he painted numerous landscapes, scenes of rural life, flamenco dancers, and torreros in an ochre palette. He was also inspired by his bohemian life in Paris, which is reflected in his art through themes such as nudes and portraits of women. Pisano was a multidisciplinary artist who worked in painting, drawing, and monotypes. He was the subject of an exhibition at the Musée des Avelines, Musée d'art et d'histoire de Saint-Cloud, from November 18, 2021 to February 13, 2022.
