Domenico Purificato

Domenico Purificato (1915 - 1984) was active/lived in Italy.  Domenico Purificato is known for Painting.

In the first part of Domenico Purificato's career, he joined the current defined Roman, initiated by Scipione (Gino Bonichi) and Mario Mafai.  A multifaceted artist, from 1940 to 1943 he was editor of the magazine Cinema.

After the war he starred in Rome of neo-realism, capturing ordinary people in his paintings, figures and rustic scenes of everyday life.  He has participated in important exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale and the Quadrennial of Rome.  He also dealt with fiction, non-fiction, theater and television.
