Diane May Stuart Hamilton De Causse

Diane May Stuart Hamilton De Causse (1899 - 1971) was active/lived in California, Missouri.  Diane Hamilton De Causse is known for Pottery design.

Born in St Louis, MO on Jan. 20, 1896, the daughter of artist Minerva B. Hamilton.  Diane, as she was known, studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art, ASL and Columbia University in New York, and Académie Julian in Paris.  In 1916 her family established a pottery company in Los Angeles where she was a co-owner and designer until the firm closed in 1930.  By 1936 her married name was DeCausse.  She died in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 1971.
