Notes: Shared a studio with Harrington Mann, bridging the gap between the Glasgow Boys* and Art Nouveau*. Well known for his studies of cattle. 

Said by Miles Johnston to have painted mostly at Cannee and Low Boreland, near Kirkcudbright.  His picture Calves is in Dundee Art Gallery.
