Bror Lindh

Bror Lindh (1877 - 1941) was active/lived in Sweden.  Bror Lindh is known for Painting.

Bror Lindh was one of the members of the Rackstad Colony. Around the lake Racken in Värmland, a group of artists and craftsmen active in various arts lived and worked, where influences from Swedish, European, and Japanese art intersected. They shared a strong desire to break away from the old and look towards the future.

Japonism had primarily taken hold through the Japanese woodblock prints that were shown at world fairs and in art magazines. With an emphasis on ornamentation, nature, and everyday motifs, Japanese aesthetics influenced the artists around the turn of the last century.
