Bobbe Gentry

Bobbe Gentry (20th century) was active/lived in Texas.  Bobbe Gentry is known for Sculptor-classical figure.

Originally a painter and later a ceramist, she combined the two art forms to create richly colored, textured three-dimensional figures with flowing composition.

Gentry is a resident of Poetry, Texas and was educated at Sam Houston State University in Texas, Newport College of William and Mary, the University of Connecticut, and Southern Methodist University in Texas. She has been a student of Grant Speed, Stanley Bleifeld, Garland Weeks, and Fritz White.

She served as Secretary of the Texas Sculpture Association, and was Vice-President of the Creative Arts Center of Dallas.
