Augusto Garau (1923 - 2010) was active/lived in Italy.  Augusto Garau is known for Abstract art.

Augusto Garau was an Italian artist born in Bolzano in 1923. He studied at the Accademia di Brera in Milan with Francesco Messina and Achille Funi. Garau was the youngest member of M.A.C. and was a close friend of Atanasio Soldati. He had his first one-man show at the Galleria Salto in 1949 and went on to have exhibitions at various galleries in Milan and Gallarate. Garau's work was included in the exhibition 'Arte Astratta in Italia' in 1948. He was known for his abstract art. Garau passed away in 2010
