A George Miller

A George Miller (1905 - 1984) was active/lived in Illinois, Florida.  A Miller is known for Abstract cityscape painting, teaching.

A. George Miller was born in Monroe, MI in 1905 and attended the Art Institute of Chicago beginning in 1923. He was one of three official photographers for the 1933-34 Century of Progress Exhibition in Chicago.

After the fair, he opened his own photo agency called “Photography Inc.” He taught photography at the Art Institute of Chicago and exhibited there, as well.

A Renaissance man, he designed patents for cameras and other implements.

His paintings have a Modernist linear nature and often depict city scenes and landscapes.

In 1984, Miller died in Pinellas County, FL at the age of 80.
