Karl Witkowski (1860 - 1910) was active/lived in New Jersey / Poland, Austria.  Karl Witkowski is known for Genre-street child, pets, portrait.

An artist whose specialty was depiction of children, especially street urchins and newsboys in the style of John George Brown. He was born in Austria or Poland and lived in New Jersey, having studied in Paris at the Academie Julian in the late 1880s. He exhibited at the National Academy of Design.

Karl Witkowski had a print done of the "Little Sweethearts". It was for a promotional done by an old company, N. K. Fairbank, who made Fairy soap. You will notice that the crate that the little girl is sitting on says "Fairy". The back of the prints tells all the information about other prints available. The information claims that these a good quality and would cost $1000. 00 elsewhere, but for the "oval fronts" off of their soap you could get them, plus 4cents in stamps.
