Howard Freeman Sprague (1871 - 1899) was active/lived in Michigan, Ohio.  Howard Sprague is known for Marine-ship portrait, illustrator.

A naval artist during the Spanish-American War, Howard Sprague was also an illustrator for Harper's magazine. He lived in Detroit, Michigan and Cleveland, Ohio and died from tuberculosis at the age of 28.
