Georges William Thornley (1857 - 1935) was active/lived in France, United Kingdom, Italy.  Georges Thornley is known for Seascape and landscape painting, engraving, lithography.

A late 19th and early 20th-century seascape and landscape painter, many of them watercolors, and especially of scenes of Normandy and the French and Italian Rivieras, Georges Thornley was the son of a Welsch immigrant.  He was especially noted for his watercolors, his impressionist style and for engravings and lithography.

He began exhibiting his paintings in 1878.
