Alexander Kierincx

Alexander Kierincx (1600 - 1652) was active/lived in Netherlands, Flemish, Europe.  Alexander Kierincx is known for Painting.

Alexander Keirincx was born in Antwerp in 1620 and was trained by the landscape painter Abraham Govaerts (1589-1626). At the age of eighteen, he obtained a master's degree from the Guild of Saint Luke and began signing his paintings. Alexander's early works are characterized by a succession of gnarled tree trunks. These are represented with a palette of Mannerist colours, between which small mythological or biblical figures move. At that time, his style was still influenced by the cabinet pieces of Jan Bruegel (1568-1625) and Gillis van Coninxloo (1544-1606 / 07), who also influenced the style of Abraham Govaerts.   ...  [Displaying 629 of 1185 characters.]  Artist bio
