Ron Cooper

Ron Cooper (Born 1943) was active/lived in California, New Mexico.  Ron Cooper is known for Landscape stone sculpture-fountains, abstract painting, graphic design.

Ron Cooper pursues a parallel career as a Visual Artist, Designer and Stonemason. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and started his career in the late 1960s. He lived for many years inTaos,  New Mexico, where he established Stoneworks in 1992.

He studied Fine Art and Design in New York, receiving a BFA from SUNY Purchase, NY before returning to the West Coast.  As a stonemason, he has specialized in custom hand crafted stonework installations for over 20 years.

By 1973, he had already participated in numerous international solo and group shows with pieces in the permanent collections of the Guggenheim Museum, NY and LACMA. His work was exhibited at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, La Jolla, California, May 13-July 1, 1973.
