Ivo Saliger (1894 - 1987) was active/lived in Austria.  Ivo Saliger is known for Religious genre.

The Austrian painter and etcher, Ivo Saliger was born in 1894 in Königsberg, Silesia.  Since 1908 he used to live in Vienna.  There he trained at the 'Grafische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt' and then studied at the Vienna Academy among others under Rudolf Jettmar and Ferdinand Schmutzer.

In 1920 he received a professorship at the 'Grafische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt'.  In the 1930s he studied again at the 'Academie modern' under Fernand Léger and Amédée Ozenfant.  His paintings were also exhibited regularly at the Great German Art Exhibitions during 1937 and 1944. (cru)
