Frances Ruth (Parks) Sosson (1921 - 1965) was active/lived in California, Illinois.  Frances Sosson is known for Expressive style floral still life and figure painting.

Frances Ruth (Parks) Sosson was born on April 1 1921 in Illinois. After marriage to Edward Sosson in Chicago they moved to California where she settled. She painted in vivid colors and had a heavy approach to her brush strokes leaving her paintings with a strong expressive sensibility. 

Her favorite subjects were still life florals and figures. Sosson was a member of many artist leagues including San Bernardino Art Association where she was Secretary in 1958 and became Second-Vice President 1963-1965. 

She won awards in many exhibitions including a special award at the San Bernardino County Fair. 

Very little information about her is available, most likely because of her untimely death. She passed away at the age of 44 along with her son Ronald Edward Sosson on August 6, 1965.

She is buried at Home of Eternity Cemetery in San Bernardino, California.
