Yae Asano

Yae Asano (1914 - 1996) was active/lived in Japan.  Yae Asano is known for Painting.

Yae Asano was born in Mie Prefecture in 1914.  Asano started full-scale painting production from the age of 42, creates monochrome paintings of geometric figures with a limited number of colors by the original technique of making screens with a drawing called “scratch“ from the 1950s. Warmth and nostalgia on the hard impression screen may come from the handwriting drawn lines.

The solo Exhibition was held at the Mie Prefectural Museum of Art and the Nagoya City Art Museum, and other works were collected by famous museums in Japan such as the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art. There is a retrospective exhibition was held at Toyota City Museum of Art from January to April this year. 

He is one of the artists whose works are expected to make further leaps in the market.
