Carel Neree tot Babberich

Carel Neree tot Babberich (1880 - 1909) was active/lived in Holland.  Carel Neree tot Babberich is known for Painting.

Babberich worked in a Symbolist style, much like his contemporaries Aubrey Beardsley and Jan Toorop. This is a brilliant and rare example of his work, due to his tragically short life.

The artist never exhibited during his lifetime, but exhibitions have been held internationally since his death and works are now in important collections, including the Musee d'Orsay. His work was also included in the show 'Art Nouveau' at MoMA, New York in 1960, alongside Odilon Redon, Alphonse Mucha and Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
