Aslan

Aslan (1930 - 2014) was active/lived in France.  Aslan is known for Drawing, painting, prints, pin- ups, sculpture.

Aslan, actually Alain Gourdon, was born in 1930.  The artist mainly illustrated pin-ups for the magazine ‘Lui’ from 1963 to 1981.  He used his own photographs or worked directly in front of the model.

Aslan himself has attributed his oeuvre to hyperreal figurative painting.  His brother Michel Gourdon was also an illustrator.  He created mainly drawings for the Fleuve Noir editions.

Aslan passed away in 2014.
