Zoran Antonio Music (1909 - 2005) was active/lived in Italy, Slovenia.  Zoran Music is known for Portrait, scenes of Venice.

Of Slovene descent, Anton Zoran Mušic was born in the Austro-Hungarian town of Bukovica near Gorizia, Italy.  He and his family were forced to flee multiple times due to war, occupation, and border changes.  From 1930 to 1935, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and traveled extensively afterward until he was sent to the Nazi Dachau concentration camp in 1943. 

After the war, Mušic established exceptional international standing and was awarded the Prix de Paris in 1951, the Venice Biennial Art Graphic Prize in 1956, and the UNESCO Prize in 1960. He received particular recognition for his notable 1970’s We Are Not the Last series, inspired by Dachau. In 1984, he was appointed Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres, and in 1991, the Officier de la Légion d'Honneur while also decorated with the eminent Prešeren Award for lifetime achievements.  With multiple retrospectives since 1972, his work can be found at the Tate, Mu   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 2076 characters.]  Artist bio
