PuChu Zhao (1907 - 2000) was active/lived in Asia, China.  PuChu Zhao is known for Painting, calligraphy.

Zhao PuChu (Puchu) was born on on November 5, 1907 in Anqing, Anhui province.  He studied at Suzhou Dongwu University, Suzhou University today. In 1928, he served as the secretary of Jiangsu-Zhejiang Buddhism Joint Association in Shanghai, secretary of Shanghai Buddhism Society, president of Shanghai Pure Karma Society, and president of Siming Bank. In 1945, he started to establish the Chinese Association for Promoting Democracy.  In 1946, he acted as the executive director and general manager of Shanghai Antong Transportation Company and Shanghai Huatong Transportation Company.  In 1980, he served as the president of China Buddhism Society, Vice President of China Calligraphers Association and President of The Buddhism Academy of China as well as the vice president of National CPPCC (Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference).
