Juan Soler is a Catalonian (Spain) artist, also signing his paintings by his mother’s name, Ruis. Born in Spain in 1951.

He studied in the San Jorge School of Fine Arts in Barcelona.  Soler has lived in many parts of Northern Spain, in such places as Oviedo, Bilboa, San Sebastian, all places which are depicted in his landscapes.
