Charles Boom (1858 - 1939) was active/lived in Belgium.  Charles Boom is known for Portrait, interior scene and figure watercolor painting, murals.

The artist Charles (Karel) Boom was born on 3 April in the Belgian city of Hoogstraten in 1858.  With a powerful style and harmonious colors, he is known as a painter in oil and watercolor of portraits, child figures, murals, genre scenes and historical compositions in Realist and Romantic styles.

He trained at the Academy of Antwerpen led by Hendrik Schaefels and Charles Verlat (1824-1892) .

Boom became a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerpen.

Charles Boom died on February 13 in Antwerpen in 1939. Work by him is in Museums in Antwerpen, Philadelphia and Hoogstraten.
