Painter of Russian origin born in Moscow, Maria Mikileva learns painting and history of art taught by her mother, professor of Fine Arts and architecture. She perfected her art at the School of "Self Art" under the direction of Alexandra Provalova while studying at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Moscow with the dream of moving to France where she arrived in 2010.

There she completed university studies in the field of tourism and sustainable development as well as courses in art history. Today, Maria Mikileva lives in Nice where she has set up her studio. Through the imagery and symbolism of the butterfly, she conveys the importance of appreciating the moving moment, as well as love and happiness. Maria's vivid, romantic and contemporary works are created with oils and acrylics on canvas.
