Karl Zadnik (1847 - 1923) Karl Zadnik (Valašská Bystrice [former Gross Bistritz] 1847 - Buchlovice 1923) - was a Czech painter and illustrator, active in Vienna, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under the supervision of Carl Wurzinger.

For years, he worked as an illustrator with Viennese magazines. Under the influence of Hansa hansa, he created paintings with mythological content (Ariadna Triumph, Bachanalia, Putta) as well as portraits (Dama with earring, Bearded man) and genre scenes (Housemaid as a lady)
