Wilhelm Facklam

Wilhelm Facklam (1893 - 1972) was active/lived in Germany.  Wilhelm Facklam is known for Painting.

Wilhelm Facklam was born in 1893 in Upahl. In 1914 Facklam first started drawing lessons with Ludwig Dettmann in Schwerin. After World War I, he took lessons with Professor Franz Bunke in Schwaan and at the art school in Weimar until 1923. Then, Facklam settled in Schwerin as a freelancer and founded a painting school together with Richard Zscheked in 1930. He was a soldier in World War II from 1939-45 before moving to Winkelhaid near Nuremberg in 1963. Wilhelm Facklam was a member of the Reich Association of Visual Artists and of the Schwerin Artists Association.
