Art for Sale
Richard Linderum

Richard Linderum (1851 - 1926) was active/lived in Germany.  Richard Linderum is known for Painting.

Painter Richard Linderum was born in 1851. Like fellow painters Eduard von Grützner and Adolf Humborg, the artist Richard Linderum devoted himself to the representation of daily life in the monastery. In comparison to his contemporaries, he treated this theme without humour. Linderum chooses themes of monastic life that do not imply sociable congeniality, but rather deal with a serious background. He was trained at the Dresden Academy as well as in Munich and Bremen. From his resumé, we understand that he studied under Julius Scholtz and Ferdinand Pauwels in Dresden and assisted the latter with the completion of wall panels in Belgium. Richard Linderum passed away in 1926.
