Raoh Schorr

Raoh Schorr (1901 - 1991) was active/lived in Switzerland.  Raoh Schorr is known for Painting.

Raoh Schorr studied at the Hoffmanschule in Munich and later in Paris in 1923. In the French capital he knew the main painters of the School of Paris. He assisted Jean Dufy with fabric designs and designed dresses for the couturier Robert Piguet. After gaining a reputation as a decorative animal sculptor, he moved to London in 1936, where he had a solo exhibition in 1937 at the Redfern Gallery. He acquired a bronze, Bengal Tiger, from the Tate Gallery and was commissioned by Royal Doulton to design ceramic animals. He exhibited bronzes for many years at RA. Harrods, Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein were among his clients.
