Nguyen Thi May was born in 1974 in Bac Ninh (North Vietnam). May graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Hanoi to the rank of doctor. Nguyen Thi May was a painter of scenes and subjects of genre, stylized characters in movement, with pastel and gouache on paper, in the Western way. May won 2nd and 3rd national awards in 2003, 2004 and 2005. She has participated in numerous international exhibitions including Paris.
