Jessie Fremont Snow Davis (1887 - 1969) was active/lived in Texas.  Jessie Davis is known for Painter-landscape, portrait, mural.

Portrait and landscape painter, muralist and teacher Jessie Fremont Snow Davis (Mrs. Clifford J. Davis), 1887-1969, was born near Georgetown, Texas.  She moved to Dallas, studying there with well-known Texas art figures Frank Klepper, Frank Reaugh, John Francis Knott and Martha Simkins.  She assisted Reaugh for many years in his classes, and traveled, in 1923 and 1924, to West Texas and Colorado in Reaugh's summer sketching trips.

Moving to New York, she studied with Dimitri Romanowsky and George Brandt Bridgman at the Art Students League.  Back in Dallas, Davis taught in the evening classes of the Dallas public schools.  "A feeling of primitive simplicity, joy, and frankness," were the words a Dallas critic chose to describe her work.

Davis died in Dallas and was buried in San Angelo, Texas.
