Georgy Konstantinovich Savitsky (1887 - 1949) was active/lived in Russian Federation.  Georgy Savitsky is known for Landscape, horses, figure and genre painting.

Georgy Konstantinovich Savitsky was taught to paint by his own father, K. A. Savitsky, an academician of painting, a well-known itinerant artist, and the director of Penza Art School. In this school young G. Savitsky was one of the best students in his class and was accepted into the Academy of Fine Arts. Being part of the Academy allowed the artist to come into contact with traditions of classicism preserved in it. For the competitive diploma work of Death Of Priama in 1915, he was awarded the title of an artist and given funds to travel abroad.

The independent creative work of G.K. Savitsky began in the first years of the Soviet regime. For some time he with pleasure depicted animals. Many of his studies of horses are located in the state horse breeding museum. Historico-revolutionary genre nevertheless prevails in the work of this artist.
